Tome Team Lead Vote

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

As Andraž “ruskie” Levstik mentioned on a previous post:

“This is a blast from the past. A lead that went missing but might be found again.”

This time, the Tome team has gotten some attention. The nominations are now closed and voting has been called forth by our trusty vote machine Andraž “ruskie” Levstik. The only nominee this time around is myself, Elisamuel “ryuji” Resto.

Let the hunt begin?

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Arwed “alley_cat” von Merkatz has posted to sm-discuss announcing the availability of the stable-0.24 grimoire. The list of changes since the last release is available in the message. Message follows.

“Stable grimoire version 0.24 has been released!

As usual, users of stable merely need to run ’sorcery system-update’. Spells listed on the 0.24 release wiki were tested and qualified to have no known defects of “gating” severity at the time of this release. The tarballs have been signed and uploaded to our server and will be propogating out to the mirrors within six hours.

To download the grimoire manually, get http://codex.sourcemage.org/stable.tar.bz2 or specifically http://codex.sourcemage.org/stable-0.24.tar.bz2.

GPG signatures are available at http://codex.sourcemage.org/stable.tar.bz2.asc or http://codex.sourcemage.org/stable-0.24.tar.bz2.asc.”

New Lead Developer!

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Elisamuel “ryuji” Resto has been voted into Lead Developer status for the Source Mage GNU/Linux distribution. His hard work and dedication to the project has really earned him this title. I know he has helped Mage Power a ton and that is just one of the minor things he does. Congratulations to Elisamuel!
