Alexander Tsamutali is starting a new devel section for Haskell spells. If you are unfamiliar with Haskell, here is the definition from the official Haskell web site.
“Haskell is a general purpose, purely functional programming language featuring static typing, higher order functions, polymorphism, type classes, and monadic effects. Haskell compilers are freely available for almost any computer.”
Haskell was born back in the 1980’s. It has recently seen a big boom in popularity. Many programmers have mentioned that if you are interested in improving your programming skills, Haskell is a great language to learn. One of the creators of Haskell, Simon Peyton-Jones recently talked about the language at OSCON. The talks are very interesting, check them out. One of the latest books on Haskell is recommended as one of the best ways to learn it. The book is named Programming in Haskell by Graham Hutton.
